1. Services Provided

Lighthouse Tutoring offers educational services designed to supplement the Ontario curriculum, including one-on-one tutoring, group sessions, homework help, and specialized academic programs. Our services are intended to support and reinforce students' existing schoolwork, aligning with the curriculum set by Ontario’s Ministry of Education.

2. Booking and Payment

• Booking: All tutoring sessions must be booked through our website. After submitting a booking request, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your request. Bookings are subject to availability, and Lighthouse Tutoring reserves the right to accept or decline bookings at its discretion. You will be notified once a final decision regarding your booking has been made.

• Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods, including major credit cards. All payments are processed securely, and your booking is only confirmed once payment is completed and your booking has been accepted.

• Transferability: Purchased tutoring sessions or packages can be transferred between siblings within the same family. Unused sessions within a package cannot be refunded or carried over unless otherwise specified.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund or to reschedule the session. If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session, the session fee is non-refundable.

• Rescheduling: Rescheduling is permitted without penalty if done more than 24 hours in advance. Any rescheduled sessions must be completed within the validity period of the purchased package.

• No-Show Policy: If a student fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the session will be considered used, and the payment will not be refunded.

4. Liability and Disclaimer

• Limitation of Liability: Lighthouse Tutoring, including its tutors and staff, is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during tutoring sessions, including incidents related to road crossing or restroom use. All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure the safety of students during sessions.

• Disclaimer of Warranties: We provide our services on an "as is" basis and do not make any warranties, express or implied, regarding the outcome of our tutoring services or the improvement of academic performance.

• Exclusion of Liability: This limitation of liability does not cover gross negligence or willful misconduct by Lighthouse Tutoring or its representatives.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the exclusive property of Lighthouse Tutoring and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content from this site is strictly prohibited.
